Lego Harry Potter cake

Lego Harry Potter cake - This one was so fun. I love to do these Lego cakes. The game isn't officially out so I just looked at different Harry Potter Lego sets instead. It is vanilla chocolated twist throughout.

Pirate Ship with figure - I went to find this cake for someone to look at and realized it was not on my site. I am not sure how it got overlooked, but here it is!

Pink Funky Flowers cake

Pink Funky Flowers cake - As I said before, I generally don't post cakes that I have already done before. But this one turned out so much different than the original I had to post it. I wasn't sure I would love it in pinks and greens, but it was for a 1 year old, so this made it younger and more fun. Top was strawberry, bottom was vanilla chocolate twist.

Pregnant Belly Shower Cake

Pregnant Belly Shower Cake - top half was chocolate, bottom half was vanilla with strawberry creme filling.

Steelers cookies

Steelers cookies - These were a Thank You present for a wonderful lady who made my Layers of Love aprons. Thanks Susan!

40th Anniversary Swan Cake

40th Anniversary Swan Cake - I was really happy with this one. I love mixing fondant and buttercream this way. It is tough to put fondant accents on buttercream because the are so heavy. But I think when it is the other way around and you put buttercream accents on a fondant base, the result is beautiful. The roses and swans are fondant, but all the swags and borders are buttercream, yet you still have the smooth elegance of the fondant. This was made to resemble an original wedding cake, but we made it smaller to fit this occasion.

Green Monkey Cake

Green Monkey Cake - I know, I thought it would be weird too, but I actually love this one. :) The little girl wanted specifically a green monkey cake, it was adorable that she knew exactly what she wanted. Love that!

Texas Longhorns Cake

Texas Longhorns Cake - This was for a 40th birthday party. I did half chocolate fudge and half vanilla.

Stimpson Monogram Wedding Cake

Stimpson Monogram Wedding Cake - I really love that these simple classic designs are in right now. They make for very elegant wedding cakes.

Elmo cake

Elmo cake - I normally don't do sheet cake type cakes because they bore me to tears. *grin* So if I have done one for you, I must love you. But this one was kind of fun. I actually built his face on top of the sheet cake so that he looked a little more 3D. Not to mention sometimes it is good for me to work in buttercream so that I remember my basics. It also makes me remember why I despise working with buttercream alone, but it is still good for me. :)
