Lego Harry Potter cake
Lego Harry Potter cake - This one was so fun. I love to do these Lego cakes. The game isn't officially out so I just looked at different Harry Potter Lego sets instead. It is vanilla chocolated twist throughout.

Pink Funky Flowers cake
Pink Funky Flowers cake - As I said before, I generally don't post cakes that I have already done before. But this one turned out so much different than the original I had to post it. I wasn't sure I would love it in pinks and greens, but it was for a 1 year old, so this made it younger and more fun. Top was strawberry, bottom was vanilla chocolate twist.

40th Anniversary Swan Cake
40th Anniversary Swan Cake - I was really happy with this one. I love mixing fondant and buttercream this way. It is tough to put fondant accents on buttercream because the are so heavy. But I think when it is the other way around and you put buttercream accents on a fondant base, the result is beautiful. The roses and swans are fondant, but all the swags and borders are buttercream, yet you still have the smooth elegance of the fondant. This was made to resemble an original wedding cake, but we made it smaller to fit this occasion.

Stimpson Monogram Wedding Cake
Elmo cake
Elmo cake - I normally don't do sheet cake type cakes because they bore me to tears. *grin* So if I have done one for you, I must love you. But this one was kind of fun. I actually built his face on top of the sheet cake so that he looked a little more 3D. Not to mention sometimes it is good for me to work in buttercream so that I remember my basics. It also makes me remember why I despise working with buttercream alone, but it is still good for me. :)
