Today was crazy but wonderful. Dropped off a wedding cake for my sweet friend's son, saw my cute Ashlei... made Pioneer Woman mashed potatoes and Christmas partied with my family until much too late.

Dreams Do Come True in New Orleans wedding cake
This was for my Ashley. This wedding cake had been in the dream state for a lot of years so it was so much fun to see it all come together and to see Ashley as the beautiful bride!
Succulent wedding cake
Wedding cake for my Audrey and Suzanne friends! Had to deliver it early so I could go to girls' weekend with two of my high school besties for our birthdays, so I didn't get a great picture. I hope it made it and that your night was beautiful! Love you ladies!
Bump in the Road Wedding cake
Last minute wedding cake for one of my favorite people in the whole world... well... her handsome son anyway. 😊 This one had me in tears. There is a road right next to this place.... they should warn cake decorators to never, ever, ever take this road! I've been doing this a long time now and I don't have a lot of disasters anymore but there were speed mountains on this road! The bad thing is, they were seriously deceiving. They are just a cement color so they don't look very big but once you go over them you realize that they just launched your car and all of your cakes into the air. I literally think everyone of the cakes actually lifted I half an inch into the air. It was the most terrifying feeling ever and I'm pretty sure I said some words that I'm glad no one else was in the car to hear. :) Luckily it was fixable and didn't look bad from the front but if anyone looks at the back I will cry. Thank you Laurel for being so kind about it! I hope your night was incredible! You looked beautiful as always!!
Roseman painted flowers wedding cake
My favorite cakes are those I get to do for people I love. This was for my Janalene. Well, for her son anyway. I love combining painted flowers with gum paste flowers. You can't see in this picture, but since of the leaves and flowers are tipped with gold. This one was definitely prettier in person!
Gold and Orange Gerbera wedding cake
Sooo tired after two weddings and a sheep show, but I loved this one. This is one of my favorite venues... and my favorite Teresa with Mama Lake's was catering. This girl has good taste. 😁
Draper Fresh Flowers wedding cake
Cake for my sweet Laurel's daughter. I hate using fresh flowers because they never give me quite what I need, but I was happy with how this one came out. Simple/classic look. Thanks for trusting me with your big day friend!
Jackson Rustic wedding cake
This cake was dear to me for several reasons, first, because I made it for my "twin" Joanna (we were born on the same day at the same hospital only an hour apart and we've been friends since we were 4). Second, because the reception center is Laura Young's old house and so I immediately wanted to call Jan and tell her all about it. I miss her so much. I just talked to her in the car all the way home. 💙💙💙
Tribe January Wedding cake
This one was for a dear friend of mine. They wanted winter/castle/wonderland with white and silver. It is always fun when brides send me their pinterest board and we can create something totally unique from the things that they love!
Disney/Greatest Showman Wedding cake
Wedding cake for my beautiful cousin Stephanie's son Padraic and his darling new wife Megan. It was a Greatest Showman themed wedding and they wanted the cake classy, but happy with sunflowers. I wasn't sure how to capture the theme with sunflowers, but hopefully I did it. Love you two! Congratulations!
Marble/Gold Wedding Cake
This was for my favorite Whitney friend who was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen! Thank you for letting me be a part of your day! And for letting me move the cake so it didn't topple. LOL

Painted floral wedding cake
This was for my Nate. I have been doing birthday cakes for Nate since he was a tiny kid. He would always come up with new things for me to try. One year her wanted red velvet with cream cheese and strawberry filling. So I did that. The middle layer of his wedding cake was that flavor. This time with it being fall, he asked if I could do a pumpkin chocolate chip cake. I had never done that before either, but why not? It is now my new favorite! The top layer was a gluten-free chocolate. Half of the flowers are hand painted and half are fondant. Great concept for such a great couple.
A classic twist wedding cake
This is one of my favorites. It was for a friend from high school, which is always fun, but her sister was also friends with my sister who passed away and it was fun to re-visit some of those memories. Also, her sisters were super involved, just like my sisters and I always are. It was so fun to be a part of all of that!
Olivia lavender wedding cake
This one was for my Olivia. Olivia is my childhood best friend's daughter and even though I secretly wanted her to end up with one of my boys because she is the most adorable girl ever....I was super happy for her and her new hubby is just as adorable as she is....well...almost. Congratulations Livi and Steven!!
Watson Wedding cake
This was such a fun one. I thought having so many colors might be strange, but using mostly pastels made it quite stunning. This one was at a car dealership their family owns and it was such a cute setting! Can't believe my younger than me neighbor has a daughter old enough to get married! My favorite thing about doing cakes is that sometimes I also get to see old friends.
Silhouette roses wedding cake
It's funny. The less stressed I am about a cake, the more smoothly everything goes. I think these are my favorite roses maybe ever. But the piping always does me in. Every time I do it I swear I'll never do it again... but I always do.
