Family Guy Stewie cake

Family Guy Stewie cake - I love Stewie so this one was fun for me! Sorry for the swear. I know I have some people who look at this with their kids. I don't have my editing software on my computer anymore since it crashed. :)

Winter Cookie Bouquets

Winter Cookie Bouquets - I am still learning with these cookie bouquets, but I think I am getting better with each one. :) I have been doing them all for my sister's friends so that I can get more practice.

Dr. Suess Grinch cookies

Dr. Suess Grinch cookies - These were for my brother-in-law who wanted Grinch cookies for his holiday party that were very Dr. Suessical. I was so excited about them! They look so simple to me, but they took forever! I loved it though. The Grinch is my fav!

Bon Jovi cake

Bon Jovi cake - My little sister is a huge Bon Jovi fan. So I was going to do a Bon Jovi cake and then my other sister told me I should do him naked, so I thought in a towel would be fun. :) This was a super fast one for me, so give me some slack ultra-Bon Jovi fans. :)

BYU vs. University of Utah cookies

BYU vs. University of Utah cookies - Every year, this is the big game here in Utah, so every year I do these cookies. :) I changed them up a bit this year and like them better than years past. There are also a few Aggie alums that get their token cookies as well. :)

Princess Minnie cake

Princess Minnie cake - This one was for Oakley, who got the purse cake last year. :) This year she couldn't decide between Minnie Mouse and Princess, so I combined the two.

Turkey cookies

Turkey cookies - used my flower cutter for these (although there is still a ton of hand cutting involved.). It was a fun, but long process. :)

Flower cookie bouquet

Flower cookie bouquet - this was just a seriously quick little bouquet for my sister's friend at work. The bouquets have been a learning process for me, but they are fun.

Spongebob Krabby Patty cake

Sponge Bob Krabby Patty cake - This was for a cute two year old little girl who loves Spongebob. The other two Spongebob cakes I have done I used gumpaste plaques, so this time I wanted to try my hand at sculpting the characters. It was so much fun!

Silvermist Water Fairy cake

Silvermist Water Fairy cake - My big sis asked me to do this cake for her hubby's cousin who has been one of her biggest cheerleaders. So of course I had to do it. I didn't have time to do anything big, but I hope she loves it just the same.

Ganesha cake

Ganesha cake - I was so excited for the challenge of this one. I simply love cakes that are out of the realm of what I normally do. It is so fun for me to go outside of my box. I loved the detail I got to do on this cake and the reaction was really so much fun. Great people to work with. The cake was lemon with raspberry cream cheese, but there was much debate on whether or not anyone could cut into it to taste it. :) So fun!

Bright colored purse cake

Bright colored purse cake - This one was a lot of fun for me. My friend had taken her daughter to the Farmer's Market earlier in the month and she had bought this adorable purse there. We had already decided to do a purse cake for her birthday, so I thought it would be especially fitting to do a cake just like her actual purse. She was so excited. It made my day.

Quick Lego cake

Quick Lego cake - this was a quick cake for my friend Kim. Sometimes I really like just these simple quick cakes. They are a breath of fresh air. :)

Best Birthday cake ever

Best Birthday cake ever - I named this cake not because I think it is gorgeous or anything like that. I named it because it was for my big sister who I love very much. She was just diagnosed with Stage 5 gallbladder cancer, so I told her next years will be even better if she can stay with us. I am in Phoenix so I had help with this one. It was a labor of love. My mom made all the ribbon roses and the loops for the bow and my sister-in-law made all the daisies and the cute bags. Oh, and the real necklace that is on there. :) I love my helpers and my sister and hope this brought her joy. I love you Jan!

Tigger cake

Tigger cake - This was a very last minute cake for a one year old boy and I didn't have a lot of time to make it as perfect as I wanted, but I hope they liked it. :) It was spice cake with cream cheese icing, the tail was rice cereal treats.

Winnie the Pooh "Pooh Sticks" cake

Winnie the Pooh "Pooh Sticks" cake - This was for a friend of mine. Her little girl specifically wanted the "Pooh sticks" scene. I always get so nervous to do such iconic characters, but I really have a good time with them. The cake was banana sour cream cake with cream cheese icing.

Bamboo Scroll Wedding cake

Bamboo Scroll Wedding cake - This bride sent me photos of what her table settings were going to look like and I created a cake to match. I really love doing cakes this way. The reception was at the Union Station in Ogden and was a rustic, beautiful setting for this cake.

Owl Baby Shower Cookies

Owl Baby Shower Cookies - My son's teacher asked me to make her some cookies for a baby shower. She told me just to do whatever and I had just seen the most adorable owl cookies online. So I decided that's what I would do. I have loved doing all these cookies lately. :)

Sports Themed Cookie Bouquet

Sports Themed Cookie Bouquet - So my friend contacted me on Facebook and told me that she had been looking into cookie bouquets and had discovered that they were crazy expensive. She asked if I had ever thought about doing them. I have, but have never had the time or reason to try it. So I decided this was as good a time to try as any. It was not perfect, but I learned a lot and can't wait to do another one some day.

Happy "Bee" Day cake

Happy "Bee" Day cake - This one was for a 40th birthday. I actually made it on my own birthday. :) It is amazing how many people I discovered share my day. Each year I get at least a couple requests on this day.

School Craft Fair Halloween cookies

School Craft Fair Halloween cookies - I thought I had one more day to do these than I did, so they were super last minute cookies. :) Because of that, I only remembered to photograph half of them as actual cookies and have no pictures of them in their finished, wrapped up state. But I thought I would at least post what I have.

Elsa Paris cake

Elsa Paris cake - This for for the cutest 60 year old lady. She is the mom of a friend of mine and I swear she still looks 30. She loves to travel the world, but Paris is her favorite. I am posting pictures of all sides because I had so much fun with these postcards. I really like when I get to hand draw all that stuff on. So much fun!

Gronckle cake

Gronkle cake - I was so stinking excited for this one all weekend! This is my favorite dragon on "How to Train your Dragon". I think he is hilarious. So when Sarah said, "he likes dragons, specifically the Gronckle", I knew this is what I wanted to do. Sculpted character cakes are my absolute favorite because they have so much personality. And this one in particular is much cuter in person. :) It is a mix of chocolate and lemon cakes.

Space Ranger Birthday cake

Space Ranger Birthday cake - This was for cute little Tyler who is two years old and could not stop saying "Buzz, Buzz, Buzz!" when he saw it. It was adorable. :)

Melissa Wedding Cake

Melissa Wedding Cake - This was a very last minute wedding cake, but I think we pulled it off. :) It was a beautiful location and the staff was so helpful! Thanks Ogden Golf and Country Club!

Xbox 360 Madden Avatar cake

Xbox 360 Madden Avatar cake - This was made for one of the funniest boys I know. :) He always plays Madden on the 360, loves Avatar (the cartoon Last Airbender variety) and is going to serve a mission for his church in Guatemala. So I tried to incorporate all that into this cake. It was a lot of fun.

Fiber Optic Cable Medusa Head cake

Fiber Optic Cable Medusa Head cake - Ok...so doing cakes for my hubby's work friends is always interesting. :) He came home and said, "It's Phil's birthday tomorrow....can you do a cake?" I said "Sure, what's he into?" He said, "I don't know. Phil doesn't really share much with the group. But he is our cable guy." My first thought was....Phil the Cable Guy...Git R Done cake...but Alan said that just didn't fit Phil. So my mind was spinning...maybe a little too fast...I have been watching a lot of mythology movies lately, Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief, Clash of the Titans, stuff like that. So suddenly I get this image in my head of a Medusa head with fiber cable instead of snakes. I giggled a little at the thought, then I giggled a lot. So I decided it had to be done. I decided I would do Phil in stone with cable hair.
He was a little unstable at first, so I kept putting him in the freezer to chill out and every time I would open the freezer for a minute and see him in there...I would laugh out loud. Man I had a fun night...

Airplane Shower cake

Airplane Shower cake - This was made to match the bedding and decor of the baby-to-be's new room. I was really excited for this one because the decor was so cute! I hope I did it justice. :)

University of Illinois cookies

University of Illinois cookies - These were made for a friend of my little sis that is a huge University of Illinois fan. The headdress cookie was a lot of fun, but I am glad I only had to do one. :) That was a tough one!

Black and Red Bridal Shower cupcakes

Black and Red Bridal Shower cupcakes - These were red velvet and french vanilla

Booties Baby Shower cake

Booties Baby Shower cake - This one was made to match the decor of the shower. It was fun to make the booties. That was a first for me.

Sunflower wedding cake

Sunflower wedding cake - This was for a dear friend of mine. It was a second wedding, so we did the smaller cakes and cupcakes. Congratulations Heidi!

Orvin Wedding cake

Orvin Wedding cake - When I first started with this design, I thought I was going to hate it. The more I took it from the original and made it my own, the more I really loved it. The flowers are all handmade fondant flowers and they took me all night, but I think they add such a unique element. I really enjoyed this one!

Smalley Wedding cake

Smalley Wedding cake - This one had such great contrast. I have really grown to love black for weddings.

Hello Kitty cake

Hello Kitty cake - I have a big soft spot for Sanrio, so I was excited to do this one. Takes me back to my days of visiting the Hello Kitty store in the mall.

BYU? cake

BYU? cake - This cake is full of inside jokes...all of which would take a while to explain. Hopefully we didn't go too far in the fun. :) You never know what kind of feelings putting a U on a BYU fan cake will envoke. He he he.

Diego buttercream 2

Diego Buttercream 2 - This is one I have done before, but not for a long time, so I figured I would post even though it is a re-do of an older design. :)

Dickerson Wedding cake

Dickerson Wedding cake - I was so excited to finally do a wedding cake with draping. I love the look and had so much fun with this one. :)
