Sweet Sixteen cake - This was for my adorable friend Kenzie. Seriously, such a cute girl. She loves Bath and Body lip gloss, eye shadow, TOMS shoes, SJP perfume, black purses, and of course her new Jeep Liberty. :) I really had so much fun with this one. It isn't a great pic though. I especially loved the SJP NYC perfume container. That took forever but turned out fun.
Bowser cake - I love doing cakes for Lisa's kids and this was no exception. Jared wanted another Mario cake this year, but I wanted to do something different. I have just made Mario too many times now. :) He said he loves the new Bowser's Inside Story game. In the game Bowser gets really big and then sucks Mario inside of him. So I decided it would be fun to do a giant Bowser cake depicting the scene where he is in the trees. It is harder than I expected to make a 2D character 3D, but it was a lot of fun.
Alice in Wonderland cake - I really probably shouldn't have done this one. I really didn't have the time. But I have always wanted to do an Alice in Wonderland cake, so how could I say no? I had SO much fun with this! I didn't want to do the Mad Hatter or the Tea Party because that is what every other Alice cake I have ever seen was centered around. So I decided I would do something based on when she first gets to Wonderland. They wanted characters from the new Alice movie, but I wanted to do the unusual one. I decided on the Bandersnatch right off because that is new to this Alice movie. She specifically requested the Cheshire cat, so that was in too. You have to have Alice in an Alice in Wonderland cake, and I have always had a fondness for Tweedle Dee and Tweedle dumb, so they were in as well. I wanted to do the white rabbit and the talking roses, but I simply ran out of time. So now I need someone to order another. :) Only this time I want to do the queen resting her feet on a pig and Alice in the Um dress. Come on guys....you know you want to!
Cowgirl Bridal Shower Cookies - These were made to match a bridal shower invitation. I love doing that!
Firetruck cake - this was made for my cute cousin who I had never met until this day. :) Her hubby is now a firefighter and so we did this for his birthday. What fun it is to keep in touch with people I love through cakes. :)
Inflatable Waterslide Cake - This one was for a cute little girl who loves to watch Ace of Cakes with her mom and since they couldn't have a cake from Duff, her mom said I was the next best thing. How sweet is that? I thought it was a huge compliment. Thanks Shanna! This is a replica of the inflatable waterslide she got for her birthday.
Chicago Bears Super Fans Cake - This one was really fun for me. It was a grooms cake ordered by his mom to surprise him. Apparently he is a huge Bears fan and he and his buddies dress up as Super Fans from the Saturday Night Live skit. I thought it was so adorable of her!
Fablehaven Cake - This was for a 14 year old girl who loves Fablehaven, specifically book four and five. So I decided to do the fantasy tree with the dragon heads from the cover wrapping around the tree. It is chocolate cake on the bottom and rice cereal treats on top.
Strawberry Shortcake Cake - this was for a cute little 3 year old. I left room at the top for her mom to put a toy on there that she could play with afterward.
World Flags Soccer Ball Cake - This one was for Nate, who is a huge soccer fan. His favorite ball is the one with the World flags on it.
Panama Missionary Cake - This was for one of my favorite boys. :) He was turning 20 and going on an LDS mission to Panama. Good luck Jacob!!!
"Healthy" Vegetable cake - This was for my Shawn friend. He is on a diet and so we thought we would make him a "healthy" cake he could eat. :) Never mind that it was chocolate cake on the inside. he he he
Black scroll cake - I had forgotten how long it takes to draw and hand cut that many scrolls...but I think it was totally worth it. I would have liked more filler flowers for this one, but other than that I really liked how this one turned out. This was red velvet, spice, and french vanilla cakes. These tiers also had additional height per the bride's request.
Softball/Sand dunes Birthday cake - This was for a little girl turning 12. She was adorable and knew exactly what she wanted. So much fun!
Percy Jackson Lightening Thief cake - This one was for my little friend who has always kept us in clothes for Kymberly. :) She is adorable and wanted characters from her favorite book. She also wanted her cute little dog on the cake thinking of a hamburger. So cute! I had a ton of fun with this one and I hope it shows.
