I love all your cakes. They are an inspiration! I was wondering how you use cream cheese frosting and then the fondant. I think putting fondant in the refrigerator is bad (makes it sweat when you take it out) so how do you keep the cream cheese frosting from going bad? Do you fondant the morning of the event? Any tips would be appreciated!
Thanks Diana! I always fondant the day of the event. Or the day before at most. I like to make sure everything is as fresh as possible, therefore, as tasty as possible. When I use cream cheese frosting under fondant, I always use the store bought kind. It is a little less sensitive than the real kind and is able to be out of the fridge a bit longer. When I use it, I fondant the cake a few hours before delivery.
Hi Jen! I love the skirt on this one. You've really captured the drape of the fabric. Also, the grass and flowers are great -- perfect contrast with the smooth texture of the pig. LOVE IT! I only wish we lived in your delivery area (out of state). You are fondantabulous!
Love it Love it Love it!This would have been perfect for my mom's birthday! She collects pigs, has over 200 of them. And she even has a cookie jar that is a pig in a tutu LOL
So, I'm curious...what's a "smash cake"? All of your cakes are just fabulous.
Jacqueline,I am soooo glad you asked that question! I don't know what they are either! LOL
Thanks so much guys! And a "smash" cake is an extra cake that the one year old can dive into. *grin*
Jen- I am so impressed!!! You're amazing... thanks for posting. They're so fun to see! -Jen
