Weber State University retirement cake

Weber State University retirement cake - This was a cake for my mom who worked at the University for 22 years. Top was spice, middle was lemon and bottom was chocolate. The wildcat on top is their mascot and is hand carved fondant. The words on the top layer list all the departments she has worked for on campus.

very cute!! how do you make the diamond shapes on the middle layer??? What kind of tool is it? and where can you get one? I look at joann's and michaels and can never find anything that would make that impression... i love looking at all your cakes ... so awesome!

Joanna...thanks! I honestly just put pin marks where each diamond should meet and then make the lines myself. I have a quilted impression mat that I got online ages ago, but I find it looks nicer doing it this way.
Thanks Mindy and Heath! I will tell her!
